Individual raffle tickets are $10, and include admission to Augustfest 2022. ($20 if dinner is purchased.). Tickets must include one name, email, and phone number.
A maximum of 1,000 tickets will be sold. Your admission ticket will include your golf ball number. Division of a prize by a group purchasing a ticket or table in common shall be the sole responsibility of the person named as the holder of record of that ticket, unless designated otherwise, should that golf ball be selected as the winner.
*Note: If all raffle tickets sell out before the event, admission tickets to Augustfest will be available but will not be eligible to participate in the golf ball drop raffle.
At Augustfest, Saturday, July 6, 2022, a Toledo Area Media (TAM) drone will drop numbered foam golf balls onto the Coach Pat Curran Varsity Soccer Field. Five hundred (500) golf balls will be released in each drop for a maximum of two drops (1,000 golf balls). The ball drop should occur around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 6.
The first golf ball to land inside the cup will win the “Grand Prize”. If multiple balls land in the hole, the ball at the bottom of the cup will be declared the Grand Prize winner. If no balls fall in the cup after the drops are completed, then the ball that is closest to the pin will be declared the winner. The official judge will make the determination and the judge’s results are final.
Winner does not need to be present to win.
If all 1,000 tickets are sold before the ball drop, the grand prize will be $2,500. If there are less than 1,000 tickets sold, then the grand prize amount will be as follows:
Tickets will be available until they are sold out, or until the start of the ball drop event. Online sales will end on August 1, 2022. If additional tickets remain available after August 1, they will be available for purchase at the event.
2nd Place – $250
3rd Place – $100
Furthest from the Pin — $50
Second and third prizes are determined by the same method as the grand-prize winner. If more than one golf ball lands in the cup, the second ball in will be declared the 2nd place winner. If there is only one ball in the cup, then the closest to the pin measurement will be utilized.
All 1,000 balls will be dropped even if 1,000 balls are not sold. In the unlikely event that not all 1,000 balls are sold, the first “sold ball” that lands in the cup or is closest to the pin will be named the grand prize winner. Rulings by the judge will be final.
By entering this raffle, entrants accept and agree (1) to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here and (2) that their names and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news media and may otherwise be used by St. Peter School for publicity purposes and in lists of prize winners to be published in area newspapers and announced on the St. Peter’s School Augustfest raffle website. Other rules and regulations may apply. Please contact St. Peter’s School if you have questions. St. Peter’s School official judge interpretation and application of the rules and regulations shall be final.
By entering this raffle, each participant releases St. Peter’s School, St. Peter Parish and the Diocese of Toledo, its directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by participating in the raffle or winning the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize, and the winner agrees to indemnify and hold St. Peter’s School, St. Peter Parish and the Diocese of Toledo harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind rising in connection with or as a result of participating in the raffle or the winner’s acceptance or use of the prize.
In order to collect his or her prize, a Raffle ticket winner may be required to sign and deliver to St. Peter Parish business office: (a) a sworn affidavit of eligibility in accordance with these Rules and applicable law, including without limitation that he or she is at least 21 years old at the time he or she purchased the winning raffle ticket; (b) such written information as is required by any applicable tax and/or real estate laws, including without limitation his or her Social Security Number; (c) proof of identity in forms satisfactory to the St. Peter Parish showing that the person claiming the prize is the same person who is named on the winning ticket/golf ball; and (d) the winning Raffle ticket stub. The Prize winner may be required to submit a W-2G, Form 5754 or similar tax form (provided by St. Peter Parish) for tax withholding purposes.
St. Peter Parish takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities. Consult your tax advisor.
By purchasing a raffle ticket and choosing to participate in the raffle, each raffle participant acknowledges and agrees that St. Peter’s Augustfest has the right, in its sole discretion, to elect not to proceed with the raffle for any reason whatsoever or for no reason, and in such event, a participant’s sole and exclusive remedy shall be to receive a refund of the full price paid by such participant for each raffle ticket purchased, without interest.
The raffle will comply with Ohio Revised Code Chapter 2915 regarding charity gaming.
