“Color My World”, Wednesday, May 1, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Across the campus at St. Peter’s School, art programs are emphasized at all grade levels. Two certified instructors in our high school art department teach art classes including Basic Art, Drawing, Design, Painting and Ceramics, Studio Art and Independent Art Study.
St. Peter’s Elementary School also offers a comprehensive art program that uses multiple types of media and includes art history and multicultural art. Artsonia, the world’s largest on-line art gallery, showcases the artwork of some of the St. Peter’s Elementary students.
For those students at all grade levels who have a passion for art, there is an Art Club in the high school and an after-school enrichment Art Club in the elementary school. Both buildings display student artwork throughout the year at the entrances and throughout the hallways.
Mrs. Jennifer Pennell, certified art instructor for the elementary and junior high students, is again this year coordinating the elementary/junior high Fine Arts Festival, scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. This year’s Festival, “Color My World”, will highlight original artwork created by students in various art styles, student instrumental and vocal performances, face painting and refreshments in the Museum Café.
If you are looking for an evening out to enjoy the arts, please join us on Wednesday, May 1, from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
