Congratulations to Claire Thrasher and Brady Rice for being nominated for participation in the Young Leaders’ Institute program!
Students were chosen by high school staff based on their demonstrated leadership qualities and their desire to be involved in an exploration of our area.
This year’s Young Leaders’ Institute class is made up of 22 students representing a consortium of the eleven public, private and parochial schools within Richland County. The Institute is a natural complement to the Mansfield-Richland Chamber of Commerce Leadership Unlimited, a program that supports a year-long study for adult leaders from our community.
Young Leaders’ Institute is an educational program designed to complement and extend curricular studies and provide participants with:
- Educational activities that will familiarize and broaden their understanding of the diverse community opportunities, resources, issues and institutions;
- Opportunities through which our leaders of tomorrow can interact and establish an effective dialogue with one another and with today’s leaders; and
- Opportunities to develop, refine and practice their leadership skills.
