SPHS Theology teacher, Mrs. Maryanne Chengelis and her son, Peter Chengelis, took four students to Lakeview High School in Battle Creek, Michigan, for the Great Lakes Peace Jam Slam on November 2. The theme was Humanization: Valuing Each Other.
The keynote speaker, Tromondae Mandell Beck, provided activities and discussion on teamwork and communication. Students attended workshops of their choice and participated in small “family groups.”
