The day after Thanksgiving can mean only one thing: It’s time for guts, glory, and the Turkey Bowl! November saw the 45th edition of this late fall classic, as Spartan alums– young and old– gathered at the Maple Lake Park soccer field for a day of football and ridiculousness. The event has seen a resurgence of sorts in recent years as Commissioner Mark Forster, VP of Football Operations Frank Stout, and Executive Legal Counsel Patrick Bitar have ushered it into a new era of popularity and prestige. As always, Turkey Bowl veterans and newbies alike enjoyed good food, drink, and company as they braved the chilly temperatures and demonstrated unparalleled athletic prowess on the field.
The Turkey Bowl is a great way to kick off the holiday season. If you’re interested in playing next year, please contact Mark Forster ([email protected]) or Frank Stout ([email protected]). Hope to see you there!
