By spelling correctly the word “magnanimous”, 8th grader Anthony Katsaounis won the Richland County Spelling Bee again this year–yes, a spelling bee-peat! He and seventh grader Leah Allen will be representing St. Peter’s School in the Tri-County Spelling Bee as one of the 12 top spellers in Richland County. They will join the top 12 spellers from Crawford and Morrow counties in the Tri-County Spelling Bee competition on Tuesday, March 18. Also representing St. Peter’s elementary in the Richland County Spelling Bee were 6th graders Zoe Blank and Rowan Pruettmiller. Many thanks also goes to spelling bee coach Mrs. Linda Sharp!
Anthony and Rowan are also representing St. Peter’s School in the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee on March 22 at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Congratulations, Anthony and Leah, and good luck!
Thank you to Mrs. Pennell for the photos and information.
