Ice Bucket Challenge

Mrs. Bauer and Mr. Wasiniak and staff “warmed things up” with cheers and smiles and laughter by “getting very cold” and participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge to advance research for ALS  (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).  Both teams participating will donate funds to the John Paul II Medical Research Institute (JP2MRI) which focuses on the most ethical and cost-effective way of conducting medical research to help develop therapies and cures for a variety of diseases, including ALS. (Watch the YouTube video of their challenge at the end of this story.)

The Institute differentiates itself from other research organizations in the following manner:
1. They do NOT support embryonic stem cell research. They support research that is pro-life driven.
2. They devote more than half of their budget towards medical research, which is far greater than most established foundations.

Thank you Mrs. Bauer, Mr. Wasiniak, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Neumann, Mrs. Ralph and Ms. Roth for taking on the cold of the Ice Bucket Challenge to benefit treatment and cure of ALS.

Watch them get cold here!
