Congratulations to Mrs. Arnold and Mr. Daniell

Congratulations to St. Peter’s Elementary School math teacher, Mrs. Tara Arnold, and long-time art instructor for St. Peter’s High School & Junior High, Mr. Frank Daniell.

Mrs. Arnold was selected as the Toledo Diocese representative for the professional development program Alliance for Catholic Educators Collaborative for Academic Excellence. The program is designed to strengthen curriculum, instruction and assessment in Catholic schools. As part of the ACE program, she went to the University of Notre Dame in March where she spent three days collaborating and learning with teachers across the country how to best implement the Common Core State Standards in mathematics. Mrs. Arnold will share this information with teachers in our diocesan schools.

Mr. Frank Daniell, art instructor at St. Peter’s High School for many years, was recognized at this year’s Mansfield Art Center May Show, now in its 70th year of showcasing Ohio artists. The May Show opened this past Saturday and features 110 works of art by 85 artists. Director emeritus Juror H. Daniel Butts III, who served as Mansfield Art Center director from 1968 to 2001, presented Mr. Daniell with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
