Recently, the sixth grade social studies students completed an interesting project. They were asked to choose from a variety of topics about Ancient Egypt and were given the freedom to choose how they would present the projects–some with poster boards, dramatizations, and videos. During the presentations, students discussed jewelry, gods and goddesses, food and drink, pharaohs, and mummies. They enjoyed an Egyptian feast. The ancient Egyptians ate figs, cucumbers, bread, beer, and wine so the students ate cucumbers, bread and butter, Fig Newtons, and root beer.
Thank you to Mrs. Carrier for sending these additional photos and the information.
