It was a Party With Sparty Friday night at Willard High School after the Spartans defeated Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic 57-52. After jumping out to an early lead, the Panthers battled back to a two-point lead at halftime.
The Spartans were down as much as seven points in the second half, but a couple of key baskets, including a three-pointer by Mason Campbell in the last seconds of the third quarter.
The Spartans went on a run in the fourth quarter, to take the lead away from the Panthers. Jared Jakubick connected at the free-throw line to clinch the game for the Spartans.
St. Peter’s will face McComb High School on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. at the Stroh Center on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
