Once again this school year, the Mansfield Noon Optimist Club showcased the outstanding senior girl and/or boy from the high schools of Richland County with each student receiving a Quality Student Award plaque and a monetary award of $50.
Congratulations to Grace Cornell and Anthony Katsaounis who were honored at Wednesday’s Optimist luncheon held at the Holiday Inn.
Grace is a member of National Honor Society and has earned first honors every quarter throughout her high school career. She is also a member of 4-H, Key Club, Student Council and the tennis and softball teams.
Anthony is also a member of National Honor Society, has been on honor roll all four years of high school, received the AP Environmental Science Class Award and taken classes at OSU Mansfield. He has been involved in Academic Challenge, Mock Trial, Math Club, Chess Club and Philosophy Club and is on the cross country, basketball, and tennis teams.
