Academically talented students are given the opportunity to expand their knowledge in various ways at the elementary school. “Project Think” challenges students to think at a higher level and work together to solve problems. The Talented and Gifted Coordinator, in addition to planning “Project Think” activities, is also available at certain times during the school day to assist teachers in the classroom and to act as a resource person for gifted learning activities.
Additionally, a number of programs are offered after school to all students in various subject areas such as reading book clubs, technology, drama, art, math, etc. One such program is the Mind Sprouts program.
A media friend from Richland Source recently visited Mrs. Rizzo, moderator of Mind Sprouts, and her students. Click HERE to read the Richland Source story and view photos of this after-school enrichment program.
