Since today is the 77th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, Ms. Wynn had a special guest visit–Mr. Doug Theaker. Mr. Theaker is a distinguished member of the community, a local TV celebrity on WMFD and a Korean War veteran. He spoke to Ms. Wynn’s fourth and sixth graders from San Damiano Hall along with the fifth and sixth grade elementary school students. They enjoyed hearing about Mr. Theaker’s experiences in the Navy, his stories about growing up during World War II, his father’s service in the Navy, and his memory of Pearl Harbor. He left them with an important message: freedom isn’t free.
