Founded in 1951, National Engineers Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.
During National Engineer’s Week, Mrs. James introduced kindergarten, first grade and fifth grade students to engineering in computer/technology classes in the STREAM Lab.
Kindergarten and first grade students explored building structures using KEVA planks (via CenturyLink grant) and Skoolzy Construction kits (via Richland County Foundation grant). Fifth grade students explored structures with KEVA planks and simple machines with LEGO sets that were purchased with CenturyLink Grant funds.
Thank you to Mrs. James for this information and these photos. Go Spartans!
