Quintin Roberts, a third grade student at St. Peter’s Elementary, won this year’s Richland County Children Services 6th Annual Billboard and Calendar contest.

SPES student Remington Hedrick placed second in the contest and SPES student Caleb Cole was one of the 12 finalists. As the winner, Quintin also earned a pizza lunch today for his classmates!

The contest is open to third grade students in Richland County and is sponsored by Richland County Children Services as part of Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. The theme of this year’s contest was “When I Grow Up I Want to Be . . . “.

RCCS employees judged 217 entries from nine schools in Richland Copunty who were invited to participate in the contest.

The drawings of Quintin, Remington, and Owen will appear in the agency’s 2019-2010 calendar. Quintin’s and Remington’s drawings will also appear on billboards in the Mansfield area.

Congratulations to our students! Thank you to Mrs. Ginn for having her students get involved in this contest. And many thanks to Lori Cope-safety service director, Tim Harless-director of community outreach and programming for Children’s Services, Brigitte Cole-community engagement specialist of Children’s Services, Keith Porch-chief of police, and all the police officers who were able to be at the presentation.

Go Spartans!
