St. Peter’s Elementary School sixth graders had their final competition of Academic Challenge this past week at MOESC.
St. Peter’s had two sixth grade teams. Team A: Ruthie Togliatti, Colin Putt, Adler Hatfield, James Thompson, and Maggie Chamberlin, Team B: Joshua Laux, Sydney Rizzo, Katie Keffalas, and Kelly Wolboldt.
The competition had nine rounds. Four students played at a time. Both teams competed against other sixth grade teams from the area. The first part of a round was an alphabetical competition where students were asked 10 questions and the answers all began with the same letter.
The last part of the round was 15 tossup questions. Students buzzed in to give the answer. St. Peter’s students did well, with both teams earning over 100 points.
