You are welcome to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 10 at 7:00 PM in the St. Peter’s Franciscan Activity Center Atrium at 111 W. 1st Street in Mansfield to learn more about the Ohio Opportunity Scholarship (Senate Bill 85).
If passed, the Ohio Opportunity Scholarship would give middle and low-income families the opportunity to choose a private school for their children’s education. Scholarships would be worth up to $5,000 for elementary and $7,500 for high school tuition. Families with a household income at or below 400% of the poverty level would be eligible. For example, a family of four earning $98,400 would qualify.
Ohio Senator Matt Huffman, the sponsor of the bill, will be at the meeting to talk about how this bill will increase access to quality education to a new level in Ohio.
