New procedure for the day? No big deal.
Our parents and staff and students are so great! Last Friday was an unusual day with three funerals and the priority is to always accommodate the needs of the funeral procession and the needs of those families involved.
And because the church parking lot was necessarily blocked off during release time, parents were notified ahead of time there would be a new system to pick up for that day. And just like that and without a flaw, students and staff walked over and lined up differently than usual and were extremely quiet in reverence to the funeral inside the church. And just like that and without a flaw, parent drivers doubled up in the alley and very patiently waited for their child to be brought to the car by a staff member. It was slow but safe . . . and that’s what mattered most.
Thanks to all involved who made the adjustment for the day an “easy peasy” one.
