Catholic Schools Week & Elementary “Hat Day”

Today the elementary school celebrated the first day of Catholic Schools Week with a fun “hat day”.  Thank you to Mrs. Bauer and Mrs. Mack for sending these photos.

National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. This year, CSW will begin Sunday, January 28, and continue through February 3, with a new theme, “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.”  This theme encompasses the core products and values that can be found in Catholic schools across the country. Not only are we teaching students to become future servant leaders, faith-filled disciples and enriched citizens in our communities, we, as educators, are growing with them. In Catholic schools, we are all learners, servants and leaders. These shared qualities are what make Catholic schools work. They are what make Catholic schools succeed.

The official CSW logo brings the theme to life. The open book made up of multi-colored pages symbolizes how all areas of Catholic schools blend together, with faith — symbolized by the cross — at the forefront. Catholic schools are vibrant, dynamic and excellent.

St. Peter’s School will observe National Catholic Schools Week with Mass and other special activities on campus. Through these activities, we will focus on the support we show for each other, the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation.
