Thank you to Mrs. Kathy Beres for sending these photos and information about Montessori activities of this past week.
“Recently, our Montessori science shelf has featured many items that change the way we see. We explored prisms, binoculars, colored filters. The compound eye manipulatives demonstrated why it is so hard to catch a fly. Flies and other insects see many, many of us coming toward them!
We also revisited ‘hydration’ and experimented with orb beads that grew in size after a day in water. Those orbs further demonstrated to us how our eyes (which are orbs) actually invert the images you are looking at! Thank goodness our brain makes sense of it!
We all love our Montessori! We work. We play. We respect. We learn. We share. We form bonds. We care and connect. The WHOLE child is important here. Joy.”
