Students in the elementary school had a great time kicking off the new anti-bullying initiative this past Tuesday. The “Be Kind” program focuses on positive character growth and puts a special focus on kindness and the development and growth of positive character traits in students. Each month has a theme, including things like “be kind”, “be me”, and “be compassionate”.
Appreciative of the dry weather for kickoff plans, each grade level enjoyed their own area on the playground in which to draw with chalk. Children were encouraged to write positive messages and draw positive images. The finale was for all to recite together the “Be Kind” pledge, led by principal Mrs. Bauer and assistant principal Mrs. Rastorfer.
Thank you to WMFD Tyler Warner for being with us at this event. Check out his story HERE.
