Kindergarten STEM Valentine Project

In Mrs. Baker’s Traditional Kindergarten classroom this past week, there was some pretty awesome Valentine STEM learning going on.

As Mrs. Baker reports: “We used candy hearts for math and science this week. We sorted and graphed the candy hearts yesterday and then estimated how many fit in a shape. Then they used them to help us add today. We also predicted if they would sink or float (they sank!) and we explored what happens to them when soaked in water, soda, and vinegar. Our soda dissolved them more than the vinegar, which should have with soda being an acid.”

Thank you to Mrs. Baker for these photos and information. Go Spartans!
