On Friday, April 5, Roy Shoulders was appointed the new girls’ basketball coach at Mansfield St. Peter’s High School for the 2019-2020 school year.
Shoulders is assistant principal and a 31-year veteran teacher at St. Peter’s in social studies, sociology, and advanced physical education. His 29 years of high school coaching experience includes 10 seasons as head boys’ basketball coach at. St. Peter’s with an overall record of 124-94, seven sectional titles, two district titles, one district runner up, and one regional runner up. He also coached a total of seven years as assistant boys’ basketball coach at Mansfield Senior High School and Clear Fork High School.
Roy says, “I am humbled to be coaching one of the most respected girls’ basketball programs in the state of Ohio. We will do all we can to make those who came before us–making the program what it is today–proud of how we represent the school and St. Peter’s community.”
