On Monday, May 19, during high school/junior high announcement time in the gym, representatives from Richland County joined the students and staff in order to receive books for the Richland County “Red Book Shelf” project. Back on April 9, students and staff participated in “Wear Blue to School Day” and for a minimum of $1, students and faculty could wear out-of-dress code blue. They raised $215 to buy books for children of all ages with whom Children Services work. The books are intended to be taken home by those children. An additional $75 was donated through HOUSES.
Thank you to Mrs. Chengelis for sending this information and to Carl Hunnel for the photos.
