Many activities across the school campus were designed to celebrate Catholic Schools Week during the week of January 31. All that Catholic schools represent–faith, education, service–impacted the schedule of events that took place in both the elementary and junior high/high school buildings.
The week began with a Catholic Schools Week concert on Sunday, highlighting the musical talents of students, staff and friends of St. Peter’s. Some of the many week’s activities included an all-school Mass with a Candlemass Blessing of all candles, Catholic Women’s Club “Operation Clothes Basket” collection, writing thank you notes to those who support Catholic education, out-of-dress code revenue donated to the Capital Campaign, academic challenge between students and teachers, seminarian Andrew Wellman visiting with students and talking about vocations, a sing-a-long of liturgical music, game time, an academic challenge contest with students vs. teachers, and a three-point-shooting contest.
Thank you to Sarah Johnson, Jim Cox, Ellen Grillo, Andrew Wellman, Madalyn Bauer and Jason Crundwell for some of these photos.
