Shrinky Dinks

Lori from the Richland County Solid Waste Authority visited with San Damiano Hall students on Wednesday to share her knowledge of “physical change” by doing a craft involving plastic containers.  Students used permanent markers to color a plastic lid which was followed by changing its physical nature in a microwave oven.  Once shrunk, a clip was applied so it could be used as a keychain or as she called it, a shrinky dink.  Thank you, Lori, for this science lesson for our students.
