St. Peter’s School – Four Pillars for Our Future

Pillar One

Build a Community of Grace

St. Peter’s School will be a community of grace, an accepting, inclusive, and welcoming place. Every member of the St. Peter’s community will be known, valued, and loved.

We do this by:

  • Recognizing the inherent dignity in all people.
  • Treating each other like family.
  • Creating meaningful service opportunities embedded in the school day.
  • Providing spiritual retreats for each grade level.
  • Introducing a 9th-grade mission trip.
  • Paying attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Participating in the Mass and following Gospel Values.
Pillar Two

Expect Excellence in All We Do

St. Peter’s School has a long history and legacy of excellence, with over a hundred years of educational, spiritual, moral, and athletic achievements. These outcomes are not happenstance but a direct result of our high standards and expectations.

These high expectations continue as we:

  • Intentionally increase academic rigor with:
    • All 10th-graders taking a college-level course next fall.
    • Weekly Gifted and Talented programming in grades K-8
    • Advanced and Honors courses in grades 7 & 8.
    • Adding more AP courses for high school.
  • Add staff to close the COVID-19 learning gap.
  • Implement new behavioral expectations that emphasize respecting God, self, and others.
  • We will never expect anything less than greatness from our staff and students.
Pillar Three

Ensure Stability and Growth

St. Peter’s School will be good stewards of the gifts and resources provided to us.

Next year we continue to stay fiscally prudent with:

  • In-depth discussions with all stakeholders about finances.
  • Cutting edge, best use of Federal and State funding sources.
  • Restructured intervention and remediation services to be both cost-effective and student-focused.
  • Revised tuition schedule to capture every available dollar through the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship program.
  • Regular meetings with our state representatives to promote the benefits of EdChoice and proposed school choice legislation.
  • More consistency with faculty pay, stipends, and creative staffing.
  • Improved marketing and communication efforts to increase awareness about the value of a St. Peter’s School education.
