Congratulations to St. Peter’s Elementary and Junior High School Student Council on earning the designation of Honor Council with Merit at the Ohio Association of Student Councils 60th Annual State Conference held late in April at Mansfield Middle School.
This year marks the thirteenth consecutive year that our Council has been designated an Honor Council in the state of Ohio. In fact, St. Peter’s was the only elementary/middle school to earn this distinction in the state this year.
The Council also received the Five Star Council Award for their attendance atmany leadership workshops throughout the year and the Army of Volunteers Award given for
the Council’s many different types of service done during this school year.
Also, several of our Council members earned All-Ohio status for their commitment and dedication to the school and community. We congratulate sixth grader Jersey Heffley, seventh grader Olivia Depperschmidt,
and eighth grader Chloe Young (eighth graders) for receiving this honor.
St. Peter’s also had two students, Chloe Young and Rebecca Kleman, a junior in our high school, elected to the State Executive Board. Their duties will include planning next year’s programming for the state
conference and attending workshops at the state level.
Thank you so much to Mrs. Jackie Kulka and Miss Angie Dillon (junior high teacher) for all of their efforts this year with our Elementary/Junior High Student Council, and for the many positive and beneficial things the Council does for our school community! Thank you also to Mrs. Monica Sved for serving as moderator of the High School Student Council.
