Iditarod 2018 was a great success and great fun!
The $2,100 students raised over the last few weeks was spent at Kroger shopping for groceries the evening before the race. Thank you to Kroger for accommodating all our student shoppers and staff on Wednesday evening!
Following skits by each group on Thursday, junior high and high school students then ventured outside with their grocery carts and “mushers” and ran the course. It was the perfect day in terms of weather, every team completed the run and later loaded their groceries in the truck to be taken to the H.OP.E. Pantry at Catholic Charities.
Thank you to Mr. Jeff Strang and Mr. Charlie Henrich, again this year the coordinators of this great event that involves every student and staff member, grades 7-12, along with fifth and sixth grade elementary students and staff “cheering section”.
A huge Iditarod “thank you” to Jason Crundwell for all these photos of Iditarod!
