Date: Saturday, December 7, 2019, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: St. Peter’s High School Cafeteria
The Christmas Classic is our holiday bazaar, the largest bake sale in the area, and a wonderful tradition in the community. Because of this fundraiser, Parents’ Club is able to provide quality items, programs, and benefits to the school. For it to be successful, we need your help! We hope you will participate, volunteer, donate, and/or purchase at this special event.
What You Can Do: To prepare for the event, we are asking every school family to bake Christmas-type cookies or treats (we could use some peanut, gluten or sugar-free options, too!). Cookies should be packaged by the dozen and wrapped with festive holiday flair! Items can be given to our helpful elves during drop-off on Friday, December 6, in the alley between the church and high school or in the elementary parking lot– you don’t even have to get out of your car! They can also be dropped off in the school cafeteria on Friday, December 6, after 11 a.m., or on Saturday, December 7, from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m.
Help Be A Baker! There are many opportunities to volunteer throughout the week before the Classic too! Ann Brown and her Merry Bakers would appreciate help for any amount of time rolling dough, mixing ingredients, and helping in the cafeteria the week of December 2 – 7. As we make almost 1,000 poticas, over 130 butter rings, and thousands of kieffels. We humbly ask for help such as helping us bake, donating your time, giving us financial support by purchasing baked goods, and providing lunch for our workers on Thursday or Friday before the event.
Any and all help is so greatly appreciated. If you have never helped before, we welcome you and will gladly train you. It is very rewarding and uplifting to work hard with kind and generous people who give so much of themselves to help. We have jobs for every ability– rolling and wrapping while standing or sitting. THIS IS SUCH A HUGE PROJECT THAT WE NEED BOTH LADIES AND GENTLEMEN TO HELP!
We could not hold The Christmas Classic without your continuous help. Our bake sale committee led by Ann Brown has been doing bake sales for our parish for over 40 years, and our angels in heaven pray that you, our angels on earth, will fill their places.
