Memory Project

The Memory Project (TMP) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which was incorporated in Wisconsin in 2004.  Although TMP’s office is in Wisconsin, TMP’s activities involve youth throughout the world.

Specifically, TMP invites art teachers and their students to create and donate portraits to youth around the world who have faced substantial challenges, such as neglect, abuse, loss of parents, violence, and poverty.  TMP provides art teachers and their students with photos of children. Art students then create the portraits and TMP delivers them to the children.

TMP has grown every year since its inception and participating art students have now created more than 100,000 portraits for children in 43 countries (as of August 2017).

Thank you to high school art teacher, Mrs. Susan Brafford, for sending these photos of two SPHS students, each of whom created one portrait.  Mrs. Brafford also created two portraits.
